Communities United Against Policy Brutality

There’s no denying that police brutality has been and continues to be a serious problem in the United States. Communities Against Policy Brutality takes on police brutality in a few ways; advocacy, political action, and education.

CUAPB provides assistance to those impacted by acts of police brutality with a 24-hour crisis line (612-874-STOP) that can be used to report abuse with crisis responders who will investigate, take photos & statements, and offer assistance. They also aim to help by providing legal, medical, and psychological referrals as well as influencing media outlets to bring awareness and make sure victims stories are told.

They organize rally’s and protests with hopes to bring about change in laws, policies, practices, and demand justice in certain cases.

CUAPB provides educational resources via the Know Your Rights training which aims to give community members the tools they need to safely interact with law enforcement officers.
