A government statutory board responsible for managing national land registration faced critical challenges with traditional property transaction systems. They struggled with slow processing times, vulnerable paper-based records susceptible to forgery, fragmented data across multiple repositories, and high administrative overhead. The organization needed a modern solution that could ensure authenticity of real estate transactions, reduce processing costs, and eliminate the risk of tampering or forging of land records while maintaining complete transparency for all stakeholders.

We developed a blockchain-based land registration platform leveraging Ethereum's decentralized network to create an immutable, transparent system for property transactions. The solution combines smart contracts written in Solidity to automate transaction approvals with a ReactJS web application providing user-friendly access to blockchain data. A custom identity management application enables users to interact with the Ethereum network using email addresses or usernames, functioning as a blockchain wallet for signing transactions. The platform integrates blockchain explorers to verify records on the public Ethereum network (Etherscan), ensuring complete transparency while maintaining data security through a private consortium blockchain on Kaleido. All transactions are permanently recorded with near real-time traceability, creating an immutable history of property ownership and transactions.
